We’re kicking off our church with one of the classic studies for all Christians, young and old alike – the Roman Road.
Paul’s Epistle to the Romans is one of the most clear and compact depictions of the Christian faith ever put to paper. It was designed for the Romans, who had ties to both the Roman and Greek philosophical traditions – these same traditions are the foundation of our philosophy in the West. This same book is what Martin Luther credited for his salvation – he was tormented by his sin and inadequacy in the presence of God, but Paul’s words explained clearly to him just how deep God’s love is, and how great his mercy.
As we go through this book, chapter by chapter, we’ll start to see just how deeply we are in need of Salvation and how very great and loving our God is that he sent his only begotten Son to die in our stead.
